Let's jump in! 🤓

1. Black Friday strategies that grow revenue, not your workload

Black Friday / Cyber Monday are just around the corner and now is the time to make sure all of your ducks are in a row for these big sales.

Whether you're planning to put together gift guides with affiliate links, send out your favorite products on sale, or promote your own products (like meal plans or eBooks), this guide from Kit will make sure you're setting yourself up for success.

A few of our favorite takeaways:

Fewer clicks mean higher conversion rates, especially during a limited-time offer. Every step you remove between interest and purchase increases the chance someone buys.

2. Opening the door to more creators who meet Raptive quality standards

Big news for food bloggers! Raptive announced this month that they're reducing their minimum pageview requirements to join Raptive from 100,000 down to 25,000. 🤯

Raptive explains that this change is meant to emphasize that "what truly matters—more than ever—is original, high-quality content that audiences trust."

3. How to plan for GEO in 2026 and evolve your search strategy

This article is a comprehensive guide to GEO, primarily targeted at larger brands but with many valuable takeaways for creators running smaller businesses (like you!).

A few key takeaways that we wanted to highlight...

While SEO/GEO are undeniably changing the search landscape, the opportunities to appear in search have never been greater.

Search real estate has never been more diverse, with images, sitelinks, video carousels, reviews, forum answers, shopping links, and AI-powered responses all competing for attention.
We need to think beyond ranking and instead focus on occupying the spaces where our audience is actively looking for reassurance, answers, or inspiration.

The more someone is exposed to your brand, the more likely they are to remember you as a trusted resource. So what does this mean for you? If someone comes across your recipes on Instagram, Google, YouTube, and Reddit, they're more likely to visit your site and make your recipes.

From TikTok to ChatGPT to review sites and Reddit, discovery is diversifying, and your strategy must follow.

And lastly, E-E-A-T and your voice are critical in this era of discovery.

We’re not in the game of chasing algorithms.
We’re in the business of earning trust, and GEO makes that more important than ever.

🧑‍🍳💋

In addition to sharing your unique voice, make sure to also amplify the voices in your community. This can include featuring ratings and reviews of your recipes, re-sharing photos from followers who recreate your dishes, highlighting media mentions, and acknowledging support from fellow food bloggers. These elements help build credibility and foster a sense of connection and engagement around your content.

4. Google Tests “Analytics Advisor” Inside GA4, According To Reports

Select GA4 users have reported a new conversational AI agent within GA4 that can provide assistance with data analysis, report finding, and educational guidance.

We know that many food bloggers struggle to navigate GA4, so hopefully this new feature will roll-out to everyone ASAP!

From Google's announcement:

“In Google Analytics, the data expert will proactively show insights and trends, plus enable easy data exploration with simple visuals for improved decision-making and performance. These new capabilities will also help marketers troubleshoot campaign issues.”

5. Must-Have Q4 Email Strategies to Grow Your List + Boost Traffic

Wondering how to make the most of the seasonal uptick in site traffic? Allea Grummert shared a podcast episode with four great email strategies designed to grow email subscribers and drive more traffic back to your site. Here is a brief summary of her recommendations:

  • Create seasonal opt-ins — See what seasonal content is getting the most traffic on your site and create a freebie around those topics. Consider featuring those opt-ins as pop-ups (or at least test it!) and share across social.
  • Send more emails with your seasonal content — The more emails you send, (typically) the more clicks you will get. If you usually send one email a week, try two. Don't overdo it! Make sure your subscribers have the ability to opt-out of seasonal content or receive fewer emails (i.e. "click here if you're not interested in these seasonal emails"). Don't feel like you have to start from scratch — duplicate emails from previous years and just tweak them.
  • Create an email series — Manually schedule as broadcasts or as an automated sequence (like "12 days of cookies"). People can opt-in to receive the series on your site.
  • Promote your products — Incorporate affiliate links or product promotions into existing emails.
